Newfoundland Travel - One Day Agenda Part 3
Updated: Feb 17, 2022
Explore the great outdoors on a coastline hike along the East Coast Trail in Newfoundland.

During your Newfoundland Travel experience, why not consider hiking the Stiles Cove Trail hiking path that extends from Pouch Cove to Flatrock. It is rated a moderately difficult hiking path and takes approximately 5-7 hours to complete (one way). Although I have not personally completed this entire path, I did hike from Pouch Cove to Shoe Cove and was impressed by the immensity of natural beauty along the trail. I also like the many escape points along the path so that those less prepared for lengthy hikes can do partial hikes, leaving time for more activities during their Newfoundland travel experience. #eastcoasttrail #hiking #stilescovetrail #hikingpath

Perhaps you would prefer hiking the Biscan Cove Trail hiking path during your Newfoundland travel. This path extends from Cape St. Francis to Pouch Cove. It is rated a moderate to difficult hiking path and takes approximately 2-4 hours to complete (one way). From my experience, the trail has numerous stairs to climb and a generous amount of deep woods hiking. Coastal views and geographic landmarks, including Horrid Gulch, the site of the Waterwitch ship disaster, add appeal to this East Coast Trail hiking path. I personally found the trail to be more challenging with less exit routes than other trails. However, it tends to be quite a popular destination for guests during their Newfoundland travel hiking experience. #eastcoasttrail #hiking #biscancovetrail #hikingpath

The Cobblers path hiking trail tends to be a popular choice for hikers planning Newfoundland travel outdoor activities. The trail extends from Red Cliff to Outer Cove, is rated a moderately difficulty hiking path, and takes approximately 2-3 hours to complete (one way). As with many East Coast Trail hiking paths, Cobblers path has many alternate escapes so that those with limited time to commit to hiking during their Newfoundland travel can enjoy a shorter hike yet enjoy the remarkable hiking experience in the province. #eastcoasttrail #hiking #cobblerspath #hikingpath

Newfoundland travel enthusiasts also enjoy the aesthetic views and hiking experiences along the The Father Troy's trail. This hiking path extends from Flatrock to Torbay, is rated an easy trail, and takes approximately 2-4 hours to complete (one way). This trail offers hikers to scale rugged terrain toward Church Hill but is not required in order to continue the trail. I personally found this detour to a beautiful lookout point extremely challenging and not something I would care to repeat. That said, the astonishing community view as you exit a forest clearing, and a concrete bunker at the edge of a cliff, were particularly memorable for me and sure to please those on a Newfoundland travel experience. For those inclined, continue along a stretch of boulders on the edge of the world as you stand at the end of "The Beamer". #eastcoasttrail #hiking #fathertroystrail #hikingpath
